The marine terminal system, also known as Terminal Operating System (TOS), is a tool for the marine terminal, port, and yard management. It is a substantial part of any container terminal responsible for cargo (bulk, liquid bulk, break bulk, and other types of containers) movement, storage and management.
The advancement of international trade has prompted terminal operators to increase the automation of the operations. The marine terminal system helps with that by providing a system of automated processes for the machine, personal, and cargo management within a facility.
The marine terminal system incorporates all aspects of the operations within the facility. It covers manual and automated equipment control, vessel planning, invoicing, billing and report generating. Terminal Operating System can successfully manage various ports, such as container terminals, deports, multi-purpose terminals, as well as other types of terminals. On top of that, TOS is compatible with third-party sub-systems and software. It also supports various EDI message types.
Please refer to TOS (Terminal Operating System) or Integrated Terminal Management System for more information.
